Who is responsible for what

  • Your gallery's contacts. When a gallery stores collectors, artists or other people in Artfolio, the gallery decides why and how that data is used. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) the gallery is the Data Fiduciary, and Manual 2 AI Private Limited processes the data on the gallery's behalf as its Data Processor. If you are one of a gallery's contacts, contact that gallery first.
  • Your Artfolio account. For account, billing and website-visitor data, Manual 2 AI Private Limited is the Data Fiduciary.

Where your data is hosted

Your database, sign-in, uploaded files and backups are hosted in Mumbai, India (AWS ap-south-1), and the Artfolio app runs on servers in Mumbai. A few supporting services, such as email delivery and some AI features, may process limited data outside India. They are listed on our sub-processors page.

What we collect

  • Account details you provide (name, email, organisation).
  • The gallery data you choose to store: artworks, contacts, sales and documents.
  • Usage and diagnostic data to keep the service running and secure.

How we use it

  • To run Artfolio for you, including AI features you choose to use on your own data.
  • To provide support, billing and security.
  • We do not sell your data, and we do not train AI models on your private content.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

  • Get a summary of the personal data held about you and how it is used.
  • Have it corrected, completed or updated.
  • Have it erased when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent as easily as you gave it.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you.
  • Raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India.

You can also export your gallery's data at any time from inside Artfolio.
